December 21st

We had lots of fun with the story of The Gingerbread Man this week.
We read a variety of versions on the story,
but our focus book was Gingerbread Baby.
We did a little booklet, learning about the parts of the story.
Then the students wrote all about how they would catch the gingerbread baby.
They had great imaginations!

We used a planning page to plan how we would catch the gingerbread baby.

The gingerbread baby ran away from our classroom!
He left clues for us to follow around the school, which lead us to a special treat that he left for us!
We sure are lucky students!

We had a fabulous morning of Gingerbread Centres.

We continued our trip around the world on the Polar Express to learn about Christmas Traditions.  We stopped in Mexico, Germany, Sweden, Holland, France, England, Australia and The North Pole.

We finished off our trip around the world by having some yummy treats and watching the Polar Express with 1C.

The movie in the gym with the entire school was a big hit!
Why can't it be PJ and Stuffie Day every day?

CONGRATULATIONS TO HANNAH FOR BEING STUDENT OF THE WEEK!
Hannah is moving to a new school.  We will miss you, Hannah!
