This is one of the most fantastic things I have ever done with my Grade One class at the end of the year! Students each read different books, When they were finished, they had to find four picture cards that matched their book. On the back of each card was part of a letter that the students had to put together like a puzzle.
After the students figured out all the letters, they worked as a whole class to unscramble the letters to make a word. The word was the clue to where the treasure was found.
